I finally got the chance to Batman Vs Superman at the IMAX cinema 4D. Popcorn and drink as big as my face and I sat there for over two hours of entertainment. I wont go in debate about how good it was because it's shrouded with opinion. But lets just say I'm a Batman fan so I have a strong bias.
Disclaimer: I'm a secret geek when it comes to superhero movies.
I find it interesting that you can have a superheros that on the outside performs tremendous feats of strength and bravery. Almost indestructible, can do things only people dream of, achieve success and accolade only rivaled by their imagination. But even at the height of their success and recognition they still have doubt, not just doubt, but they recognise they need help.
Now, its very unlikely you'll wake up and see someone shooting lasers from their eyes and fighting a 14 foot monster in the city. There is something about the flawed and vulnerable superhero that we all should pay attention too. Whether we think so or not we sometimes all play that part of the lone Superhero trying to take everything on ourselves. Eventually you'll learn the hard truth that you wont be able to reach to that next level without the skill of working with others and building a team.
Everyone needs a team
Not just any team but a team that compliments those attributes, qualities and skills you may not have that is needed to achieve greater things than you can do by yourself. These may be people who are completely opposite to you but must share the same vision and values. I know that I'm taking analogy from a fictional story but there is no denying the power of having the right people on your team. Just look at the story in any professional sports, look at sales teams, pilots and co pilots and you name it.
Team is the most powerful and untapped resource in business. We rise and fall by our team.
100s millions is spent on team events, training, coaching, behavioural profiles, hours in interviewing and selection to ensure we're selecting, building and understanding our teams better. We can be paid very highly for our ability to manage teams. The most important question to ask is:
Who's on your team? In the movie there were many twists that force the fate of Superman and Batman to meet that led to others they encounter along the way. Our interactions with people wont be so dramatic. I wont leave any spoilers.
We can still cultivate a team that can achieve great things whether you're a manager or not. As someone who is actively building a team and working in a wider joint venture type team. As I began to research qualities and characteristics that win I couldn't help pass the qualities of high Character individuals. Whether you're looking to employ, partner or build new relationships here ten characteristics you should be look for in your team.

Outside of identifying the skills your team has if you have team members, friends, partners who display these qualities or seek to nurture those qualities you're in line to create your own superhero experience.
