Of late I've been following the journey of Marcus Lemonis. I honestly find him to be one of the most skilled leaders I've come across that knows how to challenge, support and empower people all at the same time. He does this with remarkable empathy. Below is a brief clip I came across that demonstrates this quality.
The focus of the topic may be on depression, but you'll see how leadership can be transformative through vulnerability. Here are the four leadership principles illuminated to me by a comment made by a PhD named Gary DePaul. (1) Believe in Others; (2) Connect with Others; (3) Give Up Control; (4) Collaborate with Others. It is only a 5 min clip from a workshop and I wish I could've seen more. This is one video you should share with anyone interested in leadership and wanting to help enable their leaders to overcome personal challenges.
This may seem counter intuitive to the posts I write on Key Account Management. At the centre of all work, is human connection. Leadership is not a position but a choice even Key Account Managers can take with their clients, colleagues and more.
If you're a key account manager, account manager, manager of key account teams or consultant take the next step and connect to get more great insights. I'm here to help you have profitable client conversations, grow your existing customer sales and have fun in the process. look forward to helping you succeed this year.
